Following the 33rd Annual General Meeting, members gathered for the much-anticipated Clubhouse Farewell Night, an evening dedicated to celebrating the rich legacy of The Grassroots’ Club’s clubhouse. The night began with a moving video tribute that brought together heartfelt reflections from members, staff and club president, each sharing their fondest memories and personal experiences within the clubhouse walls.

In the video, long-time members reminisced about the friendships forged over dinners, festive gatherings, and countless social events. Staff members reflected on the joy of serving the club, recalling special moments of teamwork and milestones achieved together. The president spoke warmly of the clubhouse, a space where ideas grew into programmes that touched the lives of many. Collectively, their stories painted a vivid picture of how the clubhouse has been more than just a building; it has been a hub of connection, warmth and belonging.

The evening’s programme carried this spirit of nostalgia and celebration. A lively dance performance set the tone, followed by a two-piece band that charmed the crowd with Mandarin and English favourites. Members joined in laughter and camaraderie during a quiz game, while the atrium came alive with exhibition showcasing the fun facts and milestones of the journey of the clubhouse since its formation. The setup of the photobooth added a burst of fun, complete with vibrant backdrops and playful props, giving everyone the chance to capture lasting keepsakes for memories with friends and fellow members.

Each guest also received a commemorative coin of the clubhouse a tangible reminder of the many moments shared in this special place.

As we mark the closure of our clubhouse, we celebrate the continuation of its legacy that lives on in each of us. We now embark on a new chapter — a transition to a refreshed operating model that brings an array of programmes and benefits closer to where our members live, serve, and connect.
